In May 2018, Trinity purchased land in southwest Owasso with the intent to build a permanent home for our church. The purpose of ROOTS, our capital campaign, is to raise $1.2M for the following purposes:

$500K - PAY OFF LAND
$700K - BEGIN PHASE 1

We pray for and trust God for His provision, as we stand in faith believing He has called us to this time of sacrificial giving—giving above our tithes and normal offerings...giving above what we can see and touch… giving above our comfort level—believing for God’s abundance “above all we can ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

A LETTER FROM rev. BLAKE ALTMAN

Dear Friend,

The recent years at Trinity Presbyterian Church have been exciting. We have witnessed a blossoming ministry in the Tulsa Metro Area, planted two churches, and our church family has continued to grow. Opportunities always bring challenges, but we are moving forward in faith and confidence that God will continue to provide what is needed to fulfill Trinity’s vision to be a blessing to our city and our region.

Trinity has established a reputation in Owasso as a church that preaches the gospel, welcomes people, loves children, and encourages local non-profits, where we minister to the religious and non-religious alike. The gospel remains central to everything we do at Trinity, and we are committed to this simple and profound news.

Because of the unique opportunities God has placed before us, we are embarking on a capital campaign. Through this campaign we will raise funds to pay off our land and begin building phase one. It is clear that without a permanent building of our own, we do not have the space to minister in ways that maximize the gospel’s impact in Owasso and Tulsa.

Weekly setup requires significant time, money, and energy that could be directed elsewhere (the poor, community renewal, theological education, marriage, faith & work/parenting conferences, welcoming new families, shepherding our members, etc). Equipping the people of God to use their gifts in ministry requires consistency, continuity, and place to collaborate. This capital campaign will help us take steps toward achieving these goals.

Our theme for this campaign is “ROOTS” with Jeremiah 17:7-8 as our focus verse. We want to be a church “...whose trust is (in) the LORD, like a tree planted by water that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” I believe this theme captures the spirit of who we are as a church and what we are trying to accomplish for Christ and His Kingdom.

In the coming months you’ll be given the opportunity to make a financial commitment to the ROOTS campaign. It is my hope and prayer that you would seek the Lord about making a sacrificial giving commitment above and beyond your normal tithes and offerings. Your prayers, your participation, and your support are greatly needed and valued.

May God bless you and make you bold in His service, as He uses you to establish roots for the gospel in our city.

Grace changes everything,
